NEWS FROM THEATRE FACH
It’s Curtain Up with a vengeance at Theatr Fach in
Dolgellau. Thanks to a Big Lottery grant, and the
theatre’s own ‘sponsor a theatre improvement’
project, new seating is to be installed, as well as improved facilities for people with disabilities.
The programme of events over the next few months includes the regular Poetry & Prose
Evenings, with themes including; For Harry & St. George (on Shakespeare’s birthday)
April 23rd; Curiouser & Curiouser – a Night of Nonsense on May 21st; Water on June
18th, and many more.
Alan John’s play Match for Match based on R.C.Sherriff’s comedy of manners ‘Badgers
Green’ with performances Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Monday May 27th-31st, Match for
Match is set in rural Wales, in contemporary times.
Important, too, on the Theatr Fach calendar is an Open-Day (or Open-Weekend) to officially
‘launch’ the new seating; hand over the grant cheque from Big Lottery; and also to
show people the backstage areas. Dates will be announced shortly.
A series of table-top sales is planned once the winter months are over.
To keep completely up-to-date with Theatr Fach activities, and to receive the quarterly
